Sofía Bosch Gómez | Lead Collaborator
Sofía Bosch Gómez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art + Design at Northeastern’s College of Arts, Media, and Design, and affiliated faculty with the Burnes Center for Social Change and The GovLab. As a designer and researcher, she is interested in the intersection of public service innovation, design research, and education. She earned her doctorate from the School of Design at Carnegie Mellon University.
In the past she worked in design research, experience and service design, and visual communication for both the Mexico City government and the Mexican federal government. She has also collaborated with international and philanthropic institutions such as the International Labour Organization, Bloomberg, and the Inter-American Development Bank.



Federico Vaz | Collaborator
Dr Federico Vaz is a Tutor (Research) in the Service Design MA and a Design and Futures Fellow at the United Nations Development Programme. He trained as an Industrial Designer and studied Design Innovation for his Master's, before writing a PhD on design's role in public policy innovation.
He has worked on several design-led innovation projects in the public sector in Europe, Africa and Latin America. Likewise, with over a decade of experience in design education and research, Federico has worked for Higher Education Institutions in North America, South America, and the UK.

Diana Pamela Villa Álvarez | Collaborator
Diana Pamela holds a MSc. in Service Design and PhD in Design from Politecnico di Milano. Her investigation focuses on the practice of Design in public policymaking. Along with her academic career and around eight years of job experience, Pamela has worked with public, private, and academic organizations in Colombia, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany.
Diana Pamela holds a MSc. in Service Design and PhD in Design from Politecnico di Milano. Her investigation focuses on the practice of Design in public policymaking. Along with her academic career and around eight years of job experience, Pamela has worked with public, private, and academic organizations in Colombia, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany.

Tina Rosado | Graduate Research Collaborator
Currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Information Design & Data Visualization with a Certificate of Digital Humanities at Northeastern University in Boston, Tina is a curious problem solver by nature with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and five years of management consulting experience leading teams with clients in the public and private sectors.
From exploratory insights for government and industry to digital humanity projects, my work and collaborations are aligned to my ethos.

Catherine Gore | Undergraduate Research Collaborator
Catherine Gore is an undergraduate student at Northeastern University pursuing a BFA in Design. She has been part of the Public Design Collective for two semesters and is currently contributing to a research project on outer space policy. Passionate about design’s role beyond aesthetics, she strives to create work that is both visually compelling and socially impactful.
Beyond research, Catherine serves as the Design Editor of The Huntington News and is a designer for Scout, Northeastern’s student-run design consultancy. She is excited to continue shaping this project’s brand, social media, and website.
